Drainage
William Moorfoot are draining the wet patches across the fields, Andy is moving them from field to field on the low loader.
A wet spring shows up the failing drainage from the 1960's.

First sign of beet in rows in the fens
Relieved to see the beet in rows after the new drill. Dry in the fens (needs a rain). Still wet at Cambridge on the heavy land no rain wanted until Thursday please so we can finish the drilling for Spring.

Today we toured wet areas around the farms to discuss the reasons and solutions. David Boothroyd our agronomist, Gordon Spoor drainage expert at Silsoe, Tim Chamen controlled traffic farming expert, Tim Sissons from William Moorfoot Drainage company.
