The roofs will be finished tomorrow and the asbestos skip has arrived to take the old sheets away. When I got the quotation for asbestos removal it was 'how much', my goodness that's the cost of a car.

Spring barley drilling

What a lovely day, frosty start so we started drilling the spring barley and kept going. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day. We need four good days to get the spring barley in. Super seed beds after the sugar beet which was lifted in September and early October.

Old pit says goodbye

We are having the old pit taken down opposite the office. Father built this building in 1971 over the top of the 1950 lean too.
My child hood at harvest were spent in this building with the two dryers and pits taking in the harvest. Looking forward to not looking out from the house at this building.
