Moving the 120 tonne tank
The boys did well moving the 120 tonne fertiliser tank today. They put new footings in and moved the tank 15 metres which was no small task. The alternative was a crane at £7000 for one lift.

Emilia 1st Birthday
Emilia was one today and Matilda 2.5 to make the presents shared. Fiona put on a party. Great fun had by all. Godparents and grandparents and friends and family. Fiona was up throughout the night cooking and baking a roast for 28 people. I think we will find pieces of cake for a week. Being new to this game the clear up operation is something else.

Bredal spreader and low loader
We purchased a Bredal spreader to allow us to spread Fibrophos and chalk at 12 meters on ctf tramlines from Hampshire. Brian collected it this morning and a chieftain lowloader trailer from Grantham to move the digger and tow the spreader behind between farms.

Drilling wheat on the frosts
Finishing a headland on the frosts, last drilled end of October. May the frosts continue for a week at -3c so I can get the spring barley and spring beans drilled.
We started work at 11.30 pm and the frost pulled out at mid day. Lovely to get a field drilled which has driven me crazy for months.
Paul's first day and started at 3.30am poor chap not the conventional start time, unforgettable I'm sure.
Great achievements by Sammy and Michael getting the field finished. Spring beans tomorrow fingers crossed.
